Just one of those days

I did not need today. Saturdays are supposed to be fun and relaxing, not sheer torture. Although I wasn't feeling well, I needed to get those errands done. The Alphasmart probably could have waited, but the groceries couldn't!

To recap:

- Alphasmart is here. I managed to figure out how to put the batteries and turn him on, but otherwise he is a blank slate. (Someone want to explain why all my computers/gadgets/etc are male? I'm sure there's something Freudian to be said about that.)

- Managed to get groceries only to discover the elevator wasn't working. It was working when I left for the grocery store. I usually take a cart with me, since I don't drive. Fortunately there was a nice person coming out of the gym who helped me up the stairs.

- Still not feeling well. Nor king or queen or duke or lion of the forest...

- Finished Highlander fic "Playing the Game". Adam Pierson's POV on that first meeting in "Methos".

Cool on getting the alphasmart, and the new fic. Good to see folks writing stuff, even if it's not me.

You going to do the marathon tomorrow?
