More underwater archaeology

Wow. All three of my initial requests from Netflix have shown up already. Pretty spiffy, if that continues.
researchbuzz included a link to the California shipwreck databse, which allows one to search by ship's name, type, even latitude and longitude. Very barebones. The main page includes more detailed info and links. Alaska has a similar database. I'm surprised Florida doesn't have one, given the number of wrecks off its coasts.
I've also added
archaeoblog for UK archaeology news, although it includes stories from other parts of the world. I was vastly amused by the apologetic Scottish archaeologists in Fife who mistook a 1940s sunken patio for a Viking village, even after the dig turned up a WWII era gas mask. They said they felt very silly after all that.
