Prodigal parents

The parents have safely returned to Virginia. After watching the last half of the Redskins awful game against the Saints, we went to dinner at a local haunt called Rays the Steak. (Say it aloud to get the joke) We discovered the place back when it first opened. The owner is quite friendly and always recognizes my parents when they come in. The steaks are great. I do wish they offered some alternate side dishes. I also hope they turn on the heating later in the winter. The place was *freezing*.

I have tomorrow off, so at least one Monday I don't have to wake up at 5am...

I wish you could come back down south with your parents for a little while, if only to be away from what's going on there. Just when everyone thought the Beltway Sniper was taking a long weekend, I'm sitting here watching news of the latest shooting.

I'm not someone who is easily moved, but by this point I'm getting pretty upset with the situation up there. Take care of yourself.
