It's over. My tenure at Library of Congress as a temporary library technician has officially ended. I lasted nearly two years, starting the Halloween before the 2000 November election fiasco. I was there for 9-11, making many of my online friends very nervous, because all they knew was that I worked in D.C. I survived the anthrax scare that closed us down for over a week while they ran tests on the whole complex. I survived the day to day workload of mail and problems and headaches. And now I'm onto to other things.
Where? I have no idea, but that's half the fun of temping. You never know where they'll send you. I'm still waiting to hear word on that interview I did last week.
In an attempt to jumpstart my creativity I have started another journal
wabbitseason which will chronicle my writing. I blame
isabeau. She'll deny it, of course, because she's "innocent". Feel free to add it to the friends list, though why anyone would be interested in me rummaging through my fic files is beyond me. It's an ugly ugly job, even more so than cleaning up arrearage items.
