CVS met for a second marathon at the Panera. The weather was lovely today, a stark contrast to our previous marathon, where we felt like we were under seige by torrential rain.
We also had a secondary meeting of the Order of Ye Olde Ancient Laptops. Most of us have laptops which barely work in the best of times. My old "Toshi" continues to hold up, despite being a heavy brick of a typewriter. But I work a little faster with a computer rather than pen and paper. We did a lot of character work this time around, asking some questions about why our secondary characters are geared the way they are.
Most of my work was geared towards the major project for April/May. CVS is putting together a warm-up Nanowrimo, affectionately called a "Picowrimo" or a "Nanonano". I'm vastly amused by the latter choice since that was the name of my Nano journal. I'm still thinking about what I'm going to use for my project. I was using an old skating story idea, but I was having a hard time getting into the meat of the storyline, so I may change at the last minute. Being over two months, this won't be nearly as intensive as the last time around. It works out to be about 800 words a day, far less than the 1600 a day for the full Nano
Since I'm waffling so badly, I'm including a mini-poll for my readers to help me decide what to work on.
