Shopping woes

I hate clothes shopping with a fiery passion. It's one of those things that I was spoiled by having a helpful Mom to say "Try this" or "Let's see if..." Otherwise I am totally lost. Plus I seem to always be looking for things out of season. I need summer weight stuff when they're gearing for fall and vice versa. At least I came home with a new pair of sneakers, although I had to go to Nordstroms because the actual brand New Balance store carries all kinds of widths, but not the narrows. Arghhh!

Also discovered that BDaltons is insane. They have a lovely nice graphic novels/Japanese manga section. However, a good number of the manga titles are also shelved in the YA section. Probably they have space issues so they figure this is the easiest solution, but if you don't know to look there or ask, how will you ever find anything? Even a small sign on the shelf saying "Look also in YA" would be a Good Idea.
