Lately I have noticed a problem with my eyes. I'm nearsighted, but lately I've had a hard time reading up close. I just can't seem to concentrate on anything longer than a short story. So after much grumbling, I called up the eye doctor. Fortunately they do not keep bankers' hours, staying open reasonably late and they had an immediate opening. After an adventure getting there, I had my eye exam. I still feel frustrated as anything reading those charts. I had to admit that my memory is good enough that I could probably memorize that last row the first time through. The problems were indeed close up, rather than far away. The diagnosis was either to go with reading glasses or bifocals. I opted for the former, though I had the doctor write me up the prescription for the bifocals, if I want an upgrade. Hopefully this will improve things, since I miss reading. The only downside is not being able to get them until Thursday at the earliest, so probably a weekend Seven Corners run for me. I'm sure my parents will say that I'm getting them later than they did, but I still feel very old suddenly, right up there with having someone "Ma'am" me.
No closer to a submission idea, although Kiki's mutterings on "Methos" make me want to dig out "Playing the Game" and work on it for awhile.
Is it my imagination or did LJ tweak the Generator style a little? I don't remember all four of those navigation options there or in that order.
