DC friends, the Post Express is having a contest for Troy movie passes, if you're interested. If you do win, you would have to set the VCR/Tivo for "Wrinkle in Time" which has been moved up on ABC to Monday May 10 8-11pm.

If Saturn is more your speed than Mars, Cassini is now beaming back pictures of the ringed wonder. A bit of a warning, though. The files are huge, especially if you have a normal size monitor.

Alphasmart goes home...

*mourn, sob* I called Alphasmart tech support after having the critter spontaneously power off when I was typing on a fairly regular basis. The tech thought there might be a short somewhere, so it will be shipped out to the home office for repairs. But, but... how will I write? How will I scribble meaningless fic notes? How will I make my Thursday goal? On the bright side, they sounded like it would come back fairly promptly, which is good to know.

My temp agency is having their college scholarship season again. For once, I'm really damn tempted to apply this year. I would have to write the Dread Essay, but it could be doable. I would probably lose out to the MLS wannabes.
