Wishing I was Triplicate Girl

Or even Duo Damsel... I bet she never had issues with cleaning the house. I'm struggling with getting ready for the impending Parentals, though it may be a moot case. They're not really staying that long, just enough to say hello everyone after Philly and then back to the comforts of Florida. I'm stressed beyond belief for no reason, other than I was hoping that I could get a little help getting my Dread Apartment organized. Oh well.

If WENN fans want an interesting view of 1940 era radio, I just finished listening to the "Chesterfield Broadcasts" with Glenn Miller and the Andrews Sisters. Apparently the show ran Tues-Thurs for several months in 1940 at fifteen minutes an episode. Glenn's usual singers also performed, so the cd producers had an interesting dilemma in how to preserve the feeling of the show, while not making it unwieldy. (While "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" wouldn't show up until 1941, skating fans will recognize "Bei Mir Bist du Schoen". Even Disney fans will recognize "I Got No Strings", because Pinocchio was brand new.)

Btw, any suggestions on getting rid of books? I have two bags worth of old mysteries, romances, and sf/fantasy books. I'll probably dump most on the library sale, but if anyone has other ideas, let me know.

Blogger reorganized itself, complete with new templates, comments and profiles. Hmm... think they're feeling the heat from other services?
