Water water everywhere

It's not news that it has been raining constantly on the East Coast. Last night was no exception, adding more and more rain. DC having all kinds of problems this morning with bridges closed and mud slides. Metro suspended rail service on the Orange line between Metro Center and Smithsonian. They're running shuttles, but it's anyone's guess how long it'll take to wait for that shuttle. Or even to get on the train to begin with. After a half hour wait and no relief in sight, I opted to pack it in. The worst part is this weather pattern is scheduled to continue for much of the week. Anyone have any paddles? Life preservers?
