The Silurians

Pretty quiet weekend. The weather has actually stayed pretty tolerable. Warm but not insanely humid for a change. I had a late dinner with
confettiofstars last night. It was good to see and chat with her again.
I watched "Doctor Who and Silurians" this evening. The story felt like "Creature from the Black Lagoon" with a mini Godzilla in tow and a plague for good measure. I still like Liz as the Doctor's companion. (Firefly is clearly a bad influence on me. I nearly type "Companion" and thought "No, she's not the Doctor's whore".) Liz is smart, competent, and only screams at understandable moments. Probably why she didn't last long. The most interesting part was at end, when the Silurian base is destroyed by U.N.I.T. and the Doctor is clearly horrified at the willful murder of an entire race. He still hasn't changed that much, just modified his attitude about the Daleks.
