Alas the job good news was short lived. I only worked on Thursday. It's a long story, but suffice to say, someone got their wires crossed. On the bright side, I may have a second phone interview for a different job sometime next week.
For "Swordspoint" fans,
ellen_kushner has announced news on the third book. Set 20 years after "Swordspoint", the book will be called "The Privilege of the Sword" and set to be published in September 2006. She gave a reading from at-the-time untitled Privilege at the Washington DC World Fantasy Convention. She and Delia Sherman's readings were still memorable highlights for me. You can tell which authors have acting/diction training.
For some reason it reminds me of someone's comment about Mal in "Shindig" and how he knows how to dance but not duel. There's a story there, fanfic or otherwise.
