Boxes update
My family is indeed awesome. After a morning email, the older of my two uncles contacted me and said he'd be happy to help and bring some boxes. Said uncle also brought a bonus in the form of my young cousin willing to help out. He was an utter trooper taking loads of boxes down to storage. Uncle is coming back tomorrow to continue helping out. Now there is still a ton of work to get done in time, but I'm a lot more confident than I was last night. The big shelves are mostly empty. The desktop has even been packed up. Thank god for wireless, so I can have my Internet connection. I may have to rough it for a day with my aunt and uncle if we have to pile all the rest of boxes in the kitchen and bathroom. I'm prepared for that to be honest.
Anyway, I was grateful for the help I received. Sometimes despite my differences with them (and lord knows we're on opposite sides of the political fence), they do come through. Sometimes they don't, but I'm trying to remain in a positive mood here.

(Especially because it's starting to look like Rob may be ill or exhausted-to-the-point-of-ill (all those 10-12 hour workdays are starting to add up) and need to spend the whole weekend sleeping. I wasn't sure how I was going to ask him to move boxes in the condition he's in, he can barely stand right now.)

BTW, have you any plans for Thanksgiving weekend?

I actually found the original notice they sent out about the carpets. This was when the new carpets was voluntary. You could sign up for it if you're interested. I got pissed when it became mandatory instead. On the back were the actual instructions from the flooring company. The apartment must have condensed them down, because they *left out* the important parts about the furniture, including the fact that furniture could not be moved if it was full, especially if it was made of particle board. How can you forward information and leave all that out? It was useful information!
I have no real plans for that weekend, but I don't know what kind of mood I'll be in. The way my hormones are acting I may spend it in tears the entire time. I'm off for the entire week, which I'm *not* happy about, but between the moving and most of the office being out, it seemed like the best solution. Probably just as well. I'll be a total wreck that week.
