I watched the Derby from the comfort of my office here 'thome. Couldn't have a mint julep (no mint or bourbon...besides, gotta watch the alcohol for med reasons)or any Derby pie (no ingredients...though I don't eat nuts anyway). I did, though, wear my fancy pink hat whilst sitting in front of the TV.
Re: Charlsie Cantey. If she were to pick a horse, chances are that would be a conflict of interest since she trains 'em.
Next stop is Ms. Cantey's home state of Maryland [she must have relocated as she doesn't sound much AT ALL like a Marylander...I'm told she grew up in SC.] for some crab cakes (Krabby patties, anyone?) and black-eyed susans.
