My New York friends are being as reassuring as they can. "Don't worry about Hurricane Isabel," they say. "It's probably going to miss us completely. The latest news is that it won't trouble anywhere but Washington DC, and that only on Thursday."
I'm still under the weather. It's looking pretty unlikely that I'll make the Thursday writing meeting anyway. Concentrating on my name would be hard, much less critiques and exercises. I'll be there in medicated spirit.
Interesting website related to a MET exhibit that just finished: "Goddess". Compares classical art influences on fashion and couture with lots of pictures.
