*whimper, whimper* I just finished the last volume of the DVD set. What do you mean there are no more episodes? You can't leave me hanging there! Okay, at least Joss wasn't cruel, like some other show creators I could name, but then I remember him saying that even back with the first season of "Buffy" about cliffhangers. But still it left me wanting more.

I enjoyed watching the background features. I haven't watched the commentaries yet, but well, there's always watching the second time through. It makes me want the soundtrack even more. And feel sorry for the poor cast being handed those Mandarin lines and not having a Gorram clue how anything should go. Not that I'd have an idea either. I'd love to write "Firefly" fic but I'm worried I couldn't get the dialogue right. I noticed it even with my cyberpunk story where I'm so formal, rather being than more street and gritty. The word "edgy" gives me hives though.

So much potential... so many lines to explore... there had better be a movie.

I got really pissy about the "Mandarin." They could have at least at least invented a standard way of pronouncing it from scene to scene. :p It's like the staff wasn't even trying.

From the "making of" piece, I think they were trying. At least as well as you can when you have no experience with a language. The cast was supposedly given cassettes to listen to and it still came out something of a mess.
