Peter Wingfield has a small role in one of the later episodes of "Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital" on ABC. Reports suggest the 7th or 8th episode of the mini-series. At least it being a mini-series gives him some protection from the Wingfield curse, right? We hope anyway.

Peter Wingfield, bless him, has been dubbed the kiss of death for tv series. They never seem to last when he has been cast, either as a regular or guest star. "Queen of Swords", "Cold Feet", "Strange World", all lasted only one season or less. Although Stargate continues along, in spite of him playing Tanith, so maybe there are some other factors...

Between Peter Wingfield and Bruce Davison, "Kingdom Hospital" cornered the market on X2 pseudo-baddies.

Actually, I'm not into Stephen King. Wingfield, on the other hand, looks like my type--tall, pale, and brooding--but X2 is the only place he's turned up within my sphere of interest.

Wasn't "Queen of Swords" a Sam Raimi/Rob Tapert production? They were the evil geniuses behind "Jack of All Trades", and I know there was a connection there somewhere.
