Remember I posted about the "sounds of autumn" and how I was close enough to hear the games in the park? Now fall sports has officially arrived. The local high school is having their first home varsity football game around the corner. Every once in awhile I'll hear a clear announcement like "1st down". I haven't quite heard the roar of the crowd or the band playing the way I used to when I was at Alabama, but it's pretty close.
Come November, I may head over. Their last home game is against *my* alma mater. Of course, it may be freezing cold... on the other hand, the last time I went to a game, we blew them out 66-7. Wonder if I have any powder blue in my wardrobe...
