Animenation's regular shipment of "Afternoon" arrived today, including a promo card for Rent Anime with a free trial. Two options. One lets you rent one anime at a time, the other three. Sounds like something similar to Netflix only specifically geared to Anime titles. And it's actually run by a anime dealer, so the selection seems pretty good so far.

What is this Animenation and the "Afternoon" of which you speak? =)

Let me know how Rent Anime goes, if you decide to give it a try. I believe I saw an ad for the service in last month's NewType.

Animenation is an online anime dealer. I've also used Right Stuf. "Afternoon" is one of the Japanese phonebook manga collections published by Kodansha. I've been buying it for the manga adaptation of the "Voices of a Distant Star", even though my knowledge of reading Japanese is even less than my spoken.

Cool! I've only used Deep Discount DVD for the few titles I own at the moment. Although I did pick up the starter box for X at HMV last week.
