Bad weekend

My apartment hates me again. The recent weather front has raised the place to a high boil. I alternated between sleeping on the bed and the couch last night, trying to find somewhere relatively comfortable. It was almost a relief to get out of the house to get groceries. The windows are cranked open but it isn't helping much. The a/c has switched to heat, so that's no help at all. It's two days till November, but you couldn't tell from this setup. I hope it improves tomorrow or I'll park myself at the renamed Common Grounds before the Nano party. Or at least grab breakfast across the street beforehand.

Sad that I'll probably miss the Green Bay game, if I'm at the event, although I can DVR it. After all, if you believe superstitions, the Skins could decide the presidency. Since 1936, when the Redskins win their last home game before a presidential election, the incumbent wins as well. When the Redskins lose, the incumbent loses. Not that this makes me want to run out and find a Cheesehead, granted, but it will be just one more thing to watch.

My plot exploded nicely last week, so I'm not sure what will happen with my Nano novel. I wasn't trying to... really! I guess I shouldn't spend those sleepless nights counting plots in mind.

For once in my life I almost want the damn Packers to win. Dude.

(And considering how badly I hate football and the way it controls the minds of people in this state during autumn, this is a damn scary thing.)
