Today should be proclaimed the day of running around. I took off a few hours early to get my insane number of errands done. Most of them turned out well, with a few very annoying exceptions. Reminders of why I loathe banks and loathe paperwork even more.
I thumbed through the first issue of
Afternoon.
Hoshi no Koe looks pretty good, especially the nice color pages from the front. I won't get as much help from the furigana in this book though. I'll need to brush up a bit more. I glanced through the other series to see if anything caught my eye. To my surprise, I noticed a familiar art style. Glanced at the credits and my bookshelf for confirmation, I did a semi-squeal of delight. The manga-ka of
2001 Nights, a gorgeous hard science fiction series I adored, has created a new series
Moon Lost. I'm not finding anything further to indicate how long the series has been running, but I'm guessing it's relatively new?
Planetes is almost making up for
2001 Nights but a new series is even better.
Had to stop myself from saying "I warned you" last night when
whytcrow commented on the last group of WHR episodes. I had said "Wait for ep 11", so she knew it was coming. She was
still going "Whaaat the heck was that?" Although not quite as much as I was the last two nights... yikes, I feel like the old Buffy days before I embraced the spoilers.
Usuyami no Sekai is a nifty fansite, although browse at your peril if you want to stay pristinely unspoiled.
