Soap opera fans will remember her best as Lila Quartermaine on "General Hospital", although her earlier career sounds equally fascinating.

So my own journal is boring, but my fannish one is a Ravenclaw. No surprises there.

Why the heck do they always schedule the window cleaning when I will be out of town for the weekend? However convenient, it's a logistical nightmare moving stuff away from the windows on short notice. Never mind we've been under the threat of rain/thunderstorms all bloody week... last year it took them several weeks to find a clear day to replace them! Plus I know my apartment humidity will skyrocket. The dehumidifier will top out around Friday even if I have it on low.

My online archaeology course has been cancelled alas. They're offering it again if I wanted to transfer but it's in the middle of Nanowrimo and I already learned the headaches involved with class and Nano at the same time. Granted I wouldn't have to write nearly as much, but I still need my complete focus.

Long article on Troy excavation in US News & World Report. Sidebars on other adaptations and underwater Bronze Age archaeology as well.

EDIT: No, wait, it's scheduled for this weekend, not next. I'm still worried they won't be able to replace them until much later, though.
