Google and Weblogs

Fascinating pair of articles in the New York Times "Circuits" section. The one is yet another article about a journalist who has discovered weblogs. She's wondering where all the women are. Huh? Maybe she's more wondering where the female journalists/pundits etc are hiding, which is a different issue entirely. There just aren't as many female columnists out there. The second article is on Google's live query system. They even show a picture of Google headquarters where the popular/interesting searches flash by. They give examples of when the searches surged, like when a game show asked a Brady Bunch trivia question. For each time zone that showed the program, people zoomed off to the computer for the answer.
