Beading pictures

I put the necklace on my scanner to see how the pictures would turn out. I'm still not wild about the colors in the scan, but it's always going be a little off. The colors are supposed to be very green and teal and black. I have one photo of the necklace by itself and one with the badge holder. Few guesses on who is on my chosen photo and the Buffy fans will probably win.

That's really neat! I'm totally impressed--I have no patience for beads!

I think it looks great; they all came out really well. What I love is how different they all were. Everybody dove in and picked things that were completely unique.

Absolutely! That was part of the fun. I was a little too enamored of the big beads. On a do-over, I think I'd balance out the sizes a little more. Do the smaller jump rings need to be closed up? One of the small crimps (?) escaped briefly on Monday afternoon, but I think I reattached it.

If you can take a small pliers and squish the jump rings so that they're kind of oval, with the split being in the middle of one of the long sides, that'll help keep the wire from sliding out of the split. I actually hate jump rings and usually use split-rings, but I didn't have that many split rings, whereas I had tons of jumprings. Hence we used jumps.

As a jewelrymaker myself, I'm impressed. :)
