I feel really dumb

I put my Doctor Who files on a dvd, thinking I could curl up on the bed and watch them in comfort on the laptop. Only to discover I'm lacking the xvid codec or whatever it's called, so I can actually play them. Obviously I found it at some point, because I can play them fine on the desktop.

Help?

ETA: Never mind. I think I found the right file to download. I kept finding the source code, rather than the executable file. At least now I have video where there was only audio before, so that's a vast improvement.
