Musicals, needlework and vampires?

I guess it was just a matter of time before Janette showed up in my icons... some things are eternal.
The "Lestat" musical is getting utterly panned by critics. Carolee Carmello is getting decent notices as Gabrielle, even sings one of the big songs, but apparently the score likes high-pitched screaming a little too much. USA Today's description said the actress who played Claudia "belts out her tunes with a bratty exuberance that brings to mind June in Gypsy more than Dracula's daughter." Meanwhile Mary Stout is set to be in a Kennedy Center version of "Mame" as Mrs. Burnside, presumably Beau's mother?
jordannamorgan, you may wince at this news. Both "Brisco County Jr" and "Jack of All Trades" are coming to dvd sets.
Have two potential new needlework projects planned, one small & portable and one omigod-what-was-I-thinking? The latter actually isn't that bad. There aren't any beads or metallics and the only quarter stitches seem to be in the head and face. But it is a big one. Mostly I need to hunt down fabric and figure out which DMC colors I'm missing.

I just hope it does well enough to have a cast album. Because I so want it, even if it's the Biggest Train Wreck Ever.
