It's a little bit funny... but then again no...

I really don't need "Your Song" stuck in my head. Thank you so much "Moulin Rouge".

I've been out of skating fandom officially for the better part of four years, since skatefans moved from the old udel server. I've occasionally posted on rssif, but I've never felt a regular again, and haven't wanted to. So I wrote a SOI review and guess who is now "Miss Popularity" with several sites for one skater? Not terribly surprised, actually, since skating fandom is almost as small a world as skating itself. So why am I so skittish? Why did I post the reviews in the first place if I didn't want people to see them? They'll have to use the links for now.

rssif, Moulin Rouge, and other stuph

I never quite felt welcome over on rssif, either. And I thought science fiction fandom was bad. *shrug*

As for Moulin Rouge, I'm stuck with it for the next couple of weeks, as that's our pageant theme this year. I'll see about putting together my cancan costume. :)

I post on rssif and I couldn't care less if I was wanted there or not. I figure if the trolls can live there, so can I, and I don't bash skaters or flame other posters. My latest favorite websites are Golden Skate and Pain In The Ice.

Golden Skate is a great site. I'm a little frustrated having the forum pop up in a seperate window, but that's more style than anything.

I tend to lurk more than anything skating wise. Absorb the news and disappear quietly.

RSSIF has gotten pretty bad over the years. Amusing one time though when they drove off would-be invaders from one of the wrestling newsgroups... you puny wannabe trolls, we're used to much worse than you can throw. And the scary thing is they were. *shakes head* I don't know why you have to bash skaters at all, professionally and especially not personally. Why you always have to "choose sides" with favorites -- if you like one, you have to hate the other with a vengeance. And why certain good skaters have to be such lightning rods for the rest of the sport.
