The countdown for the con has officially started. As usual, I feel like there's not nearly enough hours in the day to do everything. I spent most of the weekend running around on said errands, including hair. Those who've seen me in real life recently know I had let my dark hair grow out to several inches below shoulder length and completely unmanageable. My hair was a tangle magnet. All I had to do was stare at it long enough. Now it's a nice medium a little above shoulder length.
I also dumped a bunch of programs off the DVR. I watched Classic Who episode "Frontier in Space" and hope to get the other two I have off onto a tape for
neadods. I know Who came first, but I couldn't help giggling when the Draconian Empire was introduced, because I remember watching Buck Rogers when I was younger. I kept trying to put a finger on why the actress playing Madam President sounded familiar; her accent sounded very similar to Mira Furlan. Same Eastern European flavor to her voice anyway. I will be glad glad glad to see Jo go far away. She's just shrieky and annoying. Hopefully the DVR will cooperate while I'm gone.
EDIT: They skipped an episode between "Frontier in Space" and "Green Death" so the first Sarah Jane is the third episode I have on the DVR.
The allergist appointment went well today, all things considered. No major changes in my medications or treatment and no "maybe you should get the shots" discussion. I did discover a useful factoid. Their re-checks are really just code for me to call the doctor and let him know how I'm doing. I didn't need to have an appointment for which I'm grateful. Costs of doctor visits add up, especially when you're missing work time.
And I posted about my two would-be BGAL projects.
