RIP Deborah Kerr

Deborah Kerr dead at 86.

I know her mostly for "King and I" and sadly from that aside in "Sleepless in Seattle" when they're discussing "An Affair to Remember" and how to pronounce Kerr.

Oh, that's sad. I knew her from "The Chalk Garden," "The Innocents" (one of the creepiest ghost movies ever, brrrr!) and "Night of the Iguana," in all of which she was superb. I never saw "From Here to Eternity," and I think I saw most of "The King and I" at some point but I never liked that musical at all. I've always wanted to see her in "Tea and Sympathy," but having read the play recently, I doubt the Hays Office left it intact (which is too bad).

I didn't know that about the Parkinson's. :-(
