I'm across the street in the library, if only so I can work on Nano/ficathon without major distractions and also have a steady Internet connection. The monitor issues are still happening with the desktop so I can never tell when it's going to go all flickery on me. I might get an hour. I might get none. In December I'm calling Dell.

jordannamorgan was just sitting at this desk. The books left behind included books on scewball comedies and Hollywood gangsters -- two of her favorites. Distinctly odd.

Date: 2007-11-20 01:54 am (UTC)Last year, the original monitor that came with Mulder in 2005 got flickery and over-bright and eventually died. It had to be replaced. I've had some Dell wireless router issues too. My parents used to advocate them, but I think I'm starting to have reason for second thoughts about future purchases of the brand.
(On the other hand, Colonel Klink is still using the monitor from my original Compaq, and I'll bet that entire computer would still be clanking away if not for its death by power surge. Something to think about when replacement time comes around.)
