One piece of good news for Remember WENN fans:
A fan on wennlist happen to see Rupert Holmes at a Broadway event in New York and asked him point blank if he would reveal the cliffhangers from the end of series. (For those who *don't* know WENN, the series ended on *three* crucial cliffhangers.) To our intense relief and delight, Holmes answered "Yes!" and explained what happened.
So here is what happened:
1. Hilary was married to Scott Sherwood who apparently needed to get married to get out of some snafu. The following season would focus on the Hilary/Jeff/Scott triangle.
2. Eugenia and Mr. Foley would take things very slowly.
3. Betty would not choose either Scott or Victor.
Ramifications galore with these scenarios. I have always been something of a closet Hilary/Scott shipper anyway, so this just makes some of my story ideas more plausible. Of course the Betty fans are howling with dismay. Personally I would have loved to watch that season, especially if the marriage wound up being more than in name only as immediately assumed. Scott and Hilary alway struck me as two con artists who have survived one too many heist. Hilary is just slightly more refined, which may be why he knocks her off the pedastal with "Hildy" all the time. Should be fun at the annual Media West discussion.
It's funny. We always groan about being Jossed in fanfic in Buffy fandom. For once, I'm glad my fanfic ideas have been blown out of the water. Although there was four years between "All Noisy" and my post-war story, so, it could still happen, though I rather prefer Rupert's end to the Scott/Victor question. To which I say, live with the consequences, Miss Roberts.
