Tech support hell

Now I understand the stories about Dell's customer service... they weren't able to find me in their system yet. No, I don't have my order number, it's on the email that I can't access for the last day and a half! What worries me is there might be some confirmation process I needed to go through to finalize everything... paranoia is the DC sport, can't you tell? (Has anyone ordered from Dell online and reassure me otherwise?)
At least my ISP answered my questions. They have two domains and I'm on the one that's having problems. Apparently the domain wasn't resolving and they have to redirect everything, which is a long drawn out process. It might take four hours, it might take 24 hours... watch while I bang my head against the nice office furniture...
