Somehow I think the same applies for anime release dates in the stores. I try my hardest to buy locally, but after the second straight week of being told "we don't have it yet", even though it was supposed to be released today, I may shift my money online. My attitude is I would like to pick it up now and play it when I get home, not order it tonight and maybe see it in two weeks. Oddly, Best Buy usually doesn't have the same problem, but they mark up even further than Suncoast and their brethren. So I took my Pirates and came home somewhat sated.
I was amused that WMATA that runs the DC Metrorail system gave itself an "A" for its escalator and elevator service. An Express reader wrote a letter in saying if that was true then why were over half of the escalators at Gallery Place-Chinatown at the height of rush hour down? I've seen them under repair or inexplicably down all the time. At best I'd give them a middling passing grade, a high D perhaps.
The post Nano doldrums have started. How can I be so motivated to write one moment and then not? At least last year I was more or less finished with the first draft. I have a whole chunk of middle section and the ending still to write.
The
remember_wenn community is getting into the drabble kind of spirit, mostly feeding off the fanfiction list so far. I wrote Green as my first entry. Should I be surprised that someone wanted to get picky over the meaning of drabble? Is it exactly 100 or more or less? Would you prefer the list went back to utter silence? Must. Not. Rant.
