May. 15th, 2006 03:55 pmChicago Tribune's Eric Zorn has a blog entry about baby names. He mentions the fact that Madison continues to be in the top 5 of baby girl names. The top 500 also includes several variants on the name. Aside from the Daryl Hannah connection, he wonders what the current reasons for its popularity. More likely it's the same fad for unisex names one that gives out names like Mackenzie and Peyton. Interestingly the most popular girls name are the twin Ems of Emily and Emma. Biblical names are popular for boys topped by Jacob.
