Sucked in by Sudoku

I've resisted the sudoku craze. I've tried it on occasion, only to put the puzzle down in frustration. However, since the Express puzzles go from Moderate to Difficult on a day's whim, it could be I was simply starting too high. So I broke down and bought a book of easy puzzles. I've since discovered free puzzles online, but hey, the book is useful on the long commute in. I was breezing through the easy ones and said I needed more of a challenge. So I tried some of moderate ones at the back. More frustration, more flinging of the book down. Then in the middle of waiting for Sci Fi Friday, I solved one. And then another. Now I feel better. Or something.

Date: 2006-07-22 02:51 pm (UTC)Sudoku is a puzzle game that's rivalling or surpassing crossword puzzles for popularity these days. It's a 9X9 grid and each are broken down into 3X3 sections. You have to have to fit 1-9 on each section without any conflicts in the other sections. It's a lot of logic and "That can't go there, so it must go here" deductions.
