Sucked in by Sudoku

I've resisted the sudoku craze. I've tried it on occasion, only to put the puzzle down in frustration. However, since the Express puzzles go from Moderate to Difficult on a day's whim, it could be I was simply starting too high. So I broke down and bought a book of easy puzzles. I've since discovered free puzzles online, but hey, the book is useful on the long commute in. I was breezing through the easy ones and said I needed more of a challenge. So I tried some of moderate ones at the back. More frustration, more flinging of the book down. Then in the middle of waiting for Sci Fi Friday, I solved one. And then another. Now I feel better. Or something.

I'd never played until I came across the Who version on the BBC site. It's a lot more fun and interesting when playing with Nine doctors. Ten is the reward. *g*

Thanks. That was a distracting puzzle, looking at all the Doctors. There are any number of variants cropping up now with words and so forth. I even saw one using the different baseball position abbreviations. (Which weirdly reminded me of the old cartoon I saw once way back back with the "Who's on first?" joke with the Doctors. At that point, they were only six or seven doctors, so the punchline was "In a few more seasons, we'll have the whole lineup." And now they do... complete with Tennant as DH if need be. How random and amusing.)

Sudowhatwhat?

BTW, you want to do something again tomorrow? I'm being abandoned for the same dungeon as last week, and we had fun!

I'd probably be interested.

Sudoku is a puzzle game that's rivalling or surpassing crossword puzzles for popularity these days. It's a 9X9 grid and each are broken down into 3X3 sections. You have to have to fit 1-9 on each section without any conflicts in the other sections. It's a lot of logic and "That can't go there, so it must go here" deductions.
